Fishing Reports

2025 was another epic season on the Rockfish, thanks to everyone who fished with us this year! The spring & fall run in Queens were great bass fishing as always but the big change this year was doing our tuna trips out of Center Moriches with quick runs to the grounds and a super consistent bite. Most days we didn’t go more than an hour before our 1st fish and towards the end I don’t think it was more than 5 minutes before the rods started screaming lol. This Yellowfin bite was the best I can remember and hopefully next year will just be more of the same (and we’ll get a bigger Bluefin quotaπ€). Me & @feezo23_ubmc are already jonzeing to get back after it in April!
Next year you can expect more of everything you love about Rockfish but with some major boat upgrades. The Contender is getting triple F350s as I write this (thanks @yamahaoutboards & @sikk_addiktion ), giving us over 1,000hp and a 50 mph cruise speed. And for a better ride from stem to stern, look out for foam flooring for a more comfortable & slip-free trip (thnx @aquagripct ). And last but definitely not least - had to upgrade the stereo lol. Your music requests will now get that bounce they deserve π
And speaking of requests - we heard a lot this year that you guys want more open boats. The schedule got filled up with charters this season and we were only able to run a handful. So for 2026 we have already packed the schedule - every Tuesday & Thursday of the spring & fall run are already available to reserve online. Plus we’ll add some tuna open boats before we start running July 1st. And of course, you can lock in your fave dates for bass and tuna charters at any time.
Lastly- big shout out to all our fellow captains and friends & to the community that kept us grinding & catching all year @yamahaoutboards @contenderboatsofficial @garminmarine @howkfishingus the whole crew at Demiglios in Brooklyn & Marco’s Marine out east, and of course @editfishcook for another killer edit. See you guys soonπ€

Had 2 back to back trips with Brian & the boys this weekend with non stop catching from beginning to end. Easy limits & dozens of releases both days. The fish are everything you threw at them from shads to poppers to live bunker! Turned back early today when things got a little nautical lol π€
Had a pair of quality time family charters today that caught A LOT of fish lol. This morning was pretty windy for Arlan & the gang, but they toughed it out & got into some real nice feeds. Our afternoon trip for Darwin & the fam was special. Non stop feeds of bass blasting bunker into the air with an all you catch buffet in 50 degree November temps is as good as it gets!
Another great trip today with Curtis & friends today. We had to do some searching but once we got the call about a huge school of bunker it was game on! (thnx Brian) Non stop catching on swim shads & live bunks π€
Solid fall run fishing with Takk & friends today. Fished lots of different bait feeds today- sand eels then peanut bunker, and finally xl adult bunker π€
Another banner day with Luiz & friends today. It never gets old watching bass blast bunker out of the water-nonstop action for 3+ hours! Easy limit & 40+ releases π€
Another fun one with Mikol & the boys today. Conditions were a little rough but the guys fished hard, got an easy limit & plenty of releases, we even got a couple casts into Bluefin in 29 feet of water π€

Stooooopid fishing today! Lost track of how many we caught but the consensus was around 50, all on artificials which is a nice change of pace for us. Unfortunately we had a mechanical issue on the way home & had to cancel our afternoon trip, but we hope to be back up & running tomorrow π€
Had an awesome crew of kids for Carters 11th birthday today! Everyone caught a ton of fish & went home with a limit for dinner. They even got to play hooky from school lol π
Fishing is great right now & we have an avail this tuesday for catch & release tuna + bass, give us a shout at 347-661-4501 for more info or book online π€
