Another fun day with @markverrastro & the boys this morning catching Yellowfin. They had to work for their bites but they kept jigging hard and put a respectable catch together on a tough day 🦾
Chris booked us back in January for his annual tuna trip with us & picked the right day! The yellowfin finally came in good & they went 8/10 with a mix of jigging & trolling & even a popper fish. Had Curtis & the gang back out with us today, this time for a Tuna trip. We got there in the dark but the bite was finicky till noon & they managed to end the day 4/5 with a mix of Yellowfin & Bluefin. Way to stick it out guys!

We had a fun 3 generation trip today getting a mix of Bluefin & Yellowfin. Jack & Joe fished with us for Bass back in June and came back to catch his 1st Tuna with Mom along this time. He’s a beast on the rod & can cast a popper further than most adults (at 12 yrs old lol!) Looks like tomorrow’s trip is blown out but we’ll be back asap. We had ourselves a DAY today going 7/12 on a nice mix of Yellowfin & Bluefin! After a scary ride through the inlet in P-soup fog this morning we ran right into a feed and had tuna busting around the boat. A couple scoops of peanuts kept em going & it was double headers & releases till the bite slowed down. The highlight of the trip was hooking a big Mako catching huge air almost jumping in the boat! Awesome morning with big Bo & his dad John who drove down from Boston for a taste of NYC Tuna fishing! The last couple days have been real hit or miss but we got on em right away and managed our limit before noon. We even got to see some kind of rocket on the way out to the grounds this morning 🤘

Had Joe & friends out today for a jigging trip. The weather was all over the place & so was the fishing. Got a nice YF 1st thing and dropped a 60” class BF at the boat. Then ground it out for a few hours in the rain and finished the trip with another Bluefin in perfect weather 🤘

Unfortunately much slower fishing today having to grid it out for a single fish. But at least we got to have our buddy Sam fresh out of his Residency program back out with us again 🤘
